Rank Tracker
Check where a website appears for a keyword, or schedule regular checks to follow changes over time.
The tool opens in your Kwordia account. Dotted links explain terms in the glossary.
Before you begin
Rank Tracker answers a specific question: where does this website appear for this search phrase under these settings? Start with a one-off check to make sure the keyword, domain, and market are right before scheduling repeated checks.
Open Technical SEO and choose Rank Tracker. Have a website domain and one keyword ready. Choose a location and device that reflect the audience you care about.
Using this page, step by step
- For a one-off check, enter the keyword and domain, choose the location and device, then review the estimate and run the check.
- Read the result in the context of those settings. The check searches up to 100 positions, so a website outside that range may not be found.
- To follow the keyword over time, create a recurring check with the same inputs. Choose daily or weekly and set the maximum USD cost allowed for each check.
- Use the schedule controls to pause, resume, edit, or run a check now. Refresh the page’s results when you want to see the latest completed work.
A worked example
A local outdoor shop might track walking boots in its target area on mobile. Keeping those settings consistent makes successive checks more useful. Changing to a different country would answer a different question, even if the keyword stayed the same.
Understanding what you see
A scheduled check can run while your browser is closed, provided the background service is available. “Worker offline” means that service is unavailable; it does not describe your website’s ranking.
Run now also changes when the next scheduled check is due. Pausing stops future checks, but a check already in progress may still finish.
Common questions and problems
If your site is not found, check the domain and settings before concluding that it has disappeared from search. It may be outside the checked range.
Deleting a schedule requires confirmation and removes its recent results from this view. The associated History and Billing records remain available. Pause it instead if you only want to stop new checks temporarily.
