Search History

Find previous research activity and its cost, then decide whether you need to run a fresh search.

Open Search History

The tool opens in your Kwordia account. Dotted links explain terms in the glossary.

Table of contents

Before you begin

History is the record of your Kwordia research activity. It helps you remember which tools and queries you used and review the associated usage charges. It is not a complete archive of every result table returned by those tools.

Choose History in the top navigation. On a smaller screen, open the menu to find it. If you are looking for a charge rather than a research topic, Billing provides the account’s payment and usage information.

Using this page, step by step

  1. Use the available sorting and page controls to find the relevant date, tool, or query.
  2. Read the query and cost together to identify the activity. Similar queries may appear more than once if you ran them on different occasions.
  3. Use a rerun action only when you want fresh data. For supported entries, it can open the tool and start a new paid request.
  4. If an entry does not support rerunning, open the appropriate tool and enter the query yourself. Review its current settings before submitting.

A worked example

You might remember researching walking boots last week but forget which phrase you used. History can help you recover that query. Rerunning it asks for new information; it does not simply reopen the old result at no cost.

Understanding what you see

The cost belongs to the recorded activity. A new request may have a different charge depending on its settings and the current usage calculation.

Keep exports of results you need to retain where a tool offers export. The history row itself is a record of the request, not a substitute for the full response.

Common questions and problems

If you cannot find an entry, check the date, sorting, and other pages of results.

If you only want to investigate a charge, read the existing History and Billing records before using rerun.
